House Crow - कौआ
Corvus splendens
Size: 40-43cm
Description: small and slim for a crow with a prominent, slightly arched bill. Black all over with glossy black head, wings and tail, and duller, slightly more grey neck and underparts. Sexes similar. Bold and alert, though somewhat wary of humans. Form enormous roosts at night, gathering noisily on rooftops before flying together to the roost.
Diet: omnivorous scavengers, will eat almost anything.
Song: noisy, mainly cawing noises.
Breeds: April-June.
